You must be careful about compatibility with your particular digital camera but this teleconverter works well with nearly all Olympus digital cameras and all Panasonic cameras manufactured before the end of 2005 (many others of all brands also but these are the ones I'm sure of). Note that you need an adapter in some cases. This item has 55mm threads. The only competitor generally thought to have slightly better quality is the Nikon TC-E17ED and it costs 4 times as much.

This accessory is for anyone looking to get into close-up/macro photography. I own an E-300 with the generation one kit lenses and the 35mm f/3.5 macro lens. This accessory works best with the 40-150mm f/3.5-4.5. With the 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 it's only useful at 45mm and you'll be too close for useful macro shots. I've heard the 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 lens provides decent results.

The housing works great, and I really like the underwater settings, the buttons are pretty easy to use and navigate with gloves on underwater. We took down about 80 feet, got some good pictures, but the flash doesn't work unless you manually put it on, and even then, the pictures look worse with the flash. I think if there is a way to get a strobe on the camera, it has a lot of potential, but the housing itself, is very good and easy to use.

Several previous reviewers have provided specific technical details regarding the FL-50, so I'll limit my comments to saying simply that the FL-50 is a powerful, reliable, highly adaptable tool. I've used it with my Olympus E-500 in small rooms, in large meeting rooms, outdoors as the primary light source and for fill, while shooting both dynamic and static subjects. It's definitely improved my flash photography, plus it's given me the confidence to shoot with a flash in circumstances I'd previously have avoided.

This lens is definitely a step up from the kit lenses. It performs equally as well as a portrait lens, medium telephoto and macro. I use it as a macro with the extension tube and have been very pleased with the results.

First, it is a great camera. Rated number one by Wired magazine, and getting good marks from consumer reports should give you confidence that you won't be disappointed. It has taken me a couple of days to figure out the settings, but now I've got it mostly down. I have owned two other Olympus cameras, so the menus are not difficult for me to navigate. Here are some simple differences between this SLR and others I have used or seen used.

Overall im very happy with my purchase of this lens. Great lens in bright light. More difficult to manage in low light. My olympus E-500 camera can hardly autofocus this lens at all. Spherical aberration from the glass makes the crop zoom ineffective. So what you see on your exposure is about all you can get out of it. Which is still great clear crisp shot. All round a good lens, but it is limited, dont expect miracles. Just remember this is on zuikos "budget-lens" list.

This battery had a good price for a genuine Olympus model. Do not waste your time with the knock off batteries for your Olympus camera. They are junk. That's why I bought another one as a spare.

I was unsure if I should have purchased the FL-50 but this flash is very powerful and does all I need. I love the ability to bounce and swivel the flash. I do think it takes a little longer to recharge than I had expected, but that may be due to the batteries I use. Regardless it was only a relevant issue once or twice over the holidays when I was madly taking photos of kids on Christmas day.

I feel more comfortable getting the real Olympus battery. It is not worth saving a few bucks and buying off brand, and run the risk of having a battery leak or something and wreck you digital SLR camera.

This fits my Olympus EVOLT E500 perfectly. Much cheaper here then anywhere else. Quality is perfect and charges last just as long as factory one that came with camera.

I purchased my Stylus 710 about a month ago and am absolutely 100% satisfied with its performance and pictures. I just got back some pictures from X-mas and they turned out excellent. For the money this camera definately pays for itself and then some. I have even taken the camera out on a nature walk with my dog and shot some really nice scenery pics. I recently bought this camera for myself and it is exactly what I wanted. It has a nice grip encasing that makes it easy to handle. It also has an amazing 18x zoom feature and takes gorgeous macro pictures. The menu features are very easy to find and understand once you get used to them. It functioned excellently in high winds and cold temperatures. Indoor photos are good, except for fast motion in low light (e.g., a tango show in a darkened theater). The video is marginal due to poor image quality. I use a Canon S2 for my serious photography, but it is not always with me due to its size. The Olympus 790WS camera is always in my pocket or backpack, ready to record the unexpected Kodak moment.
