I bought this camera for my husband after his Olympus stylus (820 I think) was stolen from me. Feeling guilty, I wanted to purchase him something that was similar yet updated. In getting the 1200 model, I was pleased, but his only complaint was that it is not possible to view pictures without extending the camera lens. As in, viewing through the display with out turning on the camera as he could with his older model.If anybody knows how to activate this feature, let me know! Otherwise I love all of the fun features and the picture quality is great! Also, I'm glad that I purchased the XD card, its a very cool(yet needed) toy. My only complaint was with the postal service, they delivered both products, but by means of knocking on the door and leaving the package on the doorstep and didn't wait at all for him to answer the door. Thankfully my husband was home to receive the package and wasn't at work, cause there's really no telling if it would have been there when I got home.
